Hi, I'm Tom. I work on product at Matta, where we develop cutting-edge AI for factories, supercharging quality control and manufacturing operations processes. As the first employee, I've been lucky enough to witness the project grow from a 3D printing research spin-out to a VC-backed team of 16 with a product on the market and a well-defined, ambitious vision.
Outside of work, I usually have a project on the go. I'm currently enjoying building websites and tiny apps.
This site is an attempt to become better at documenting my work and learning. In the age of LLMs, I'm cognizant that the volume of text I write by hand has diminished, so anything that keeps me writing feels like a good thing.
